Official Rules, Roles, and Responsibilities

Referee

  • General Conduct: Responsible for the smooth conduct of the match. Manages score sheets, tosses, and synchronizes timing with the Time Keeper.
  • Dispute Resolution: Holds final decision power in cases of differing opinions between officials.
  • Penalties & Discipline:
    • YELLOW CARD (Y): Recorded for intentional obstruction or misconduct.
    • BLUE CARD (B): 1-minute suspension for repeated unnecessary standing in the block. Immediate substitution required.
    • RED CARD (F): Immediate removal from the arena. If shown to a defender, they are "OUT" and forbidden from the current and next match.
  • Time Management: Solely responsible for time during additional innings/minimum chase.

Umpire & Post Umpire

  • Umpires: Move within the lobby, declare fouls, and compel attackers to follow rules. Can issue Y cards for unfair play.
  • Post Umpires: Positioned near the Post to provide real-time judgment and assist the Referee upon request.

Time Management Team

  • Time Keeper: Signals start/end of turns with long whistles. Loudly announces each passing minute and shows the time indicator.
  • Asst. Time Keeper: Monitors the stopwatch specifically for "Dream Run" purposes.

Scoring Team

  • Scorer 1: Records names, T-shirt numbers, and player performance. Prepares final results and collects all official signatures.
  • Scorer 2 (Assistant): Tracks defender batches, records who put whom out, and manages the substitution (IN/OUT) process. Monitors 1-minute Blue Card suspensions.

Dugout Officials

  • Maintain discipline in the team arena and control respective batches.
  • Authorized to show cards to players/coaches/managers for misconduct.
  • Ensure no defender enters the field in the wrong batch.
Contingency: If an official is unable to continue, remaining officials manage the turn until a replacement is assigned.
